A one-day conference for risk management professionals; and finance, econometric, actuarial and mathematics academics. The successful event was hosted by the University of Melbourne on Friday 21 September 2007.

NYU Down Under Derivatives Conference - March 2007

The Department of Finance's Melbourne Derivatives Research Group
(MDRG) hosted the NYU Down Under Derivatives Conference
on the 29th of March (co-sponsored by the Financial Integrity Research
Network (FIRN).

The conference keynote speaker was Professor Rob Engle (Nobel Prize for
Economics, 2003) of New York University.  Three of the department's visiting
Professorial Fellows, Richard Stapleton (University of Manchester), Marti
Subrahmanyam (New York University) and Menachem Brenner (New York
University) were amongst the six speakers. The conference was well
received and well attended, the audience including a substantial number of alumni,
research students and academics from Monash and RMIT.
