Facilities and Resources for PhD students
The Department of Finance offers a wide range of facilities and resources, for PhD students and researchers.
Accommodation
Every PhD Student is provided with air-conditioned office space, a telephone and a networked PC for their exclusive use. access to networked printing and additional eResearch capabilities are available.
Financial support
The Department provides a $1500/year allowance to PhD students to spend on expenses related to their study (i.e. books, conference travel, etc.)

Software and Computing
Minimum software includes Microsoft Office, Antispyware, Anti-virus, Email client, Acrobat Reader, Mathtype. A range of research software is also available on request.

Many of the licences permit installation on home computers for PhD students.
PhD students have access to printing via a networked printer and networked access to a range of financial databases provided by the Department. WRDS access is available to researchers and academics in the Department of Finance.
The Department manages a Research Room with high-performance workstations containing a full suite of research software and access to additional financial databases.
