Quality staff
The Department currently has 26 full time Academics, 6 full time Professional staff and a large number of sessional teaching staff.
A high proportion of our Academics hold a PhD and many have taught in universities in North America, Europe and Asia. The Department is particularly strong in quantitative areas, with five of its staff holding doctorates in mathematics or econometrics.

Environmental Health and Safety
The Department is committed to the Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies and practices contained in the University’s Environmental Health and Safety manual.
The University's Risk Management Office (RMO) coordinates the University's Environmental Health & Safety system. It also assists University faculties, schools and departments with identifying EH&S risks and provides advice on a range of occupational health & safety aspects, including ergonomic assessments, manual handling and workplace inspections.
